Washington County Warrant Records Washington County Warrant Records

Start with the office that handles the case. The right office depends on the citation. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office can route county service questions; the court named on a citation controls its docket and next step. Brenham Municipal Court handles Brenham traffic and ordinance matters, while Burton City Hall can direct a city-record request. A call to the sheriff may not answer a city citation question. Ask which clerk holds the record before visiting or sending a written request.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the sheriff's warrant unit or the issuing court directly.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Use these Washington County contacts to direct a request to the office that can answer it:

  • County warrant service: call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 979-277-6251. Dispatch is 979-277-7373. The county home page search requests a last name and date of birth.
  • A justice-court case: the county Justice of the Peace directory lists precinct pages. JP1 is at 1305 E Blue Bell Rd, Suite 114, and can be reached at 979-277-6260; confirm the correct precinct before sending a request or payment.
  • A Burton-area JP4 matter: contact JP4 at 402 N Main in Burton, 979-277-6262. Its public page lists cashier’s check, money order, and card as payment types.
  • A Brenham citation: contact Brenham Municipal Court at 200 W Vulcan, 979-337-7599. A phone call alone does not satisfy the court’s appearance requirement.
  • Burton city records: contact Burton City Hall at 979-289-3402, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public information requests may be sent in writing to the City Secretary.
  • Case resolution or legal advice: speak with a licensed Texas attorney and the issuing court. Only the issuing court can decide a request to recall or quash its process.

The county pages reviewed for this guide do not identify a separate public warrant-unit counter or warrant-only phone number. Call the Sheriff’s Office first and ask which office holds the specific case. For non-emergency assistance, use the published office number above; use emergency services only for an immediate emergency.
